Ikivanhaa Magnoliaa.

Kävin viikko sitten kotona Pohjanmaalla muun muassa siivoamassa kaappejani kesän muuttoa varten ja löysin kasan leimattuja Magnolia-kuvia. En muista miten ne ovat minulle päätyneet, mutta pitäähän nämäkin käyttöön ottaa.

Koristelin tytön risupuskan näyttämään kimpulta virpomisvitsoja. Virpomiset ja pääsiäiskokon polttamiset ovat vasta edessä Pohjanmaalla tulevana lauantaina. Oi niitä aikoja, kun itsekin kävin trullittelemassa! :D

Ps. For international visitors: The branches that the girl is holding are decorated as if they were the kind that children give to their neighbours when they go door to door on Easter (on Saturday after Good Friday) wishing them good luck for the next year. The kids are usually dressed up as witches and as a thank you for the feather-decorated branch they give the children some candy (an Easter egg for example). This is an old tradition in Finland, especially in the West where I am from. It was originally meant for getting rid of the witches that people believed lived in the barns and so. :)
